Eric Selland divides his time between Tokyo and San Francisco. His translations of Modernist and contemporary Japanese poets have appeared in a variety of journals and anthologies. He is the author of The Condition of Music (Sink Press, 2000), Inventions (Seeing Eye Books, 2007), and Still Lifes (Hank's Original Loose Gravel Press, 2011). Eric is currently editing an anthology of 20th century Japanese Modernist and avant-garde poetry with poet/translator Sawako Nakayasu. (On the recording, Eric reads Still Lifes in its entirety.)

Marjorie Stein was born in 1958 in rural southwestern Michigan. She traveled to San Francisco during spring break in 1978 and decided to stay. Marjorie lives in Santa Rosa, California, where she works as a sustainability analyst for green building design. She currently serves as an Assistant Editor for VOLT. Marjorie's work has appeared in The Denver Quarterly, New American Writing, VOLT, zaum, Phoebe, Poetry Motel, Pavement Saw Press, and other publications. A previous chapbook manuscript, Flammable Histories, was a finalist in the Pavement Saw Press Chapbook Contest in 2002. An Atlas of Lost Causes is Marjorie's first book.

Norman Fischer has been part of the Bay Area writing scene since the mid 1970's. His latest books are Questions/Places/Voices/Seasons (Singing Horse) and the new Conflict (Chax) a serial poem about conflict. He's a Zen Buddhist priest and lives in Muir Beach. (On the recording, Norman reads Conflict.)
